Sing in the car

The advice…
Sing in the car. Loud.
Where it’s coming from…
I’m a woman in my forties… and I love to inhale the beat.
Some might know what I mean. For those who don’t, let me break it down...
Life can get busy when you grow up. Especially when kids come into the picture. There is less and less time for being idle, listening to songs and dancing in your bedroom, taking a long bath, reading a book, or trying out multiple outfits before going out. There is little time for your stuff. Life becomes rushed. It’s all about checking what time it is - to dash off.
But there are little pockets of time that could serve as a mini portal into things you love doing.
Some time ago, I had written a post about how I just wanted to dance. After that, I did start going to dance lessons which were lots of fun. But I soon realised that having to fit in yet another commitment in my week was stressing me out - to the point that I felt it outweighed the benefit of getting to dance class. So I stopped.
Now I find myself doing a lot of driving around. And there is where I found one of those pockets: in the car, alone, with loud music I like - singing at the top of my lungs to oldies and newies and feeling the music, moving my arms, hips and shoulders while driving and… inhaling that beat!
