Research has shown that, in Malta, women with disabilities care about looking good and believe having a career is important. However, they feel that having both a career and a family remains a challenge for them with few considering motherhood as an option.

Canada-based scientist Liisa Galea has made it her mission to advocate for the need for more research into women’s health. Such research can help uncloud the menopause mystery, amongst other things.
